How Writing Connects to Food

Food can be described and explained in many passionate ways when it comes to writing. When thinking about food, people always think about the food they really like and know so much about, and when asked to write about it, the exiting emotions will always show and also the support of the food chosen.

Food can be explained in an essay with all the rhetoric methods. When I myself was conducting an essay about foods, I tended to use Ethos for all the essays related to food. I made myself credible with the food because I've had it before, the food I choose came from my culture, or I knew someone who tried it before.

Ethos was used to explain the way to make the food because I knew how to make the food I chose. While giving credit to my self about the topic, Pathos was obviously there, I would use words of excitement such as good, great, delicious, and words of encouragement to try the food I was talking about. This played a big part just like all the other rhetorical methods due to the fact that I was happy about the topic.

To talk about where the food originated from, as I had claimed, I would then use Logos and find facts to prove myself correct. Writing about food is just as equal as to writing about an article, we read the article so we are familiar with it, we talk talk about what it is about or make a claim, and we would need our facts to show that our claim is not biased or made up.

In conclusion, the passion for food is great to show all the features of rhetoric methods. Like in writing, we can show or notice claims, emotions, facts, and more in explaining or describing a food. An example of the things I described here and the ideas about how food and writing are connected can be seen in Pupusas, a famous Central American Dish.
